Weekly Photo Challenge: Geometry

This weeks photo challenge is Geometry. My photo is from MACBA (Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art). It has been a while since I went, and what I remember clearly, except for all the skateboarders outside, is the actual architecture of the building, which carries a lot of geometry. Beautiful place.

  9. This very geometric! I love the contrast between the round pillars and square angles of the windows. Also, I feel like contemporary art museums use this kind of design in their buildings and it is in the art they host. I’m trying to pin down a reason for it, but I’m sure that it has something to do with geometry being abstract. For instance, from your vantage point, there is a linear line that points in a direction of something far off. The ability to imagine something in the distance makes me think contemporary (modern, new, etc.) I don’t know…just a thought. I really like this picture.🙂
